Hello! Here's the details of camp and packing list. If there's anything you're unsure of, do contact your leaders and check with them. :)

Dates: 17 -19 December 2009
Reporting Time: 7.30 am

Packing List
* PLEASE LABEL ALL BELONGINGS

3 sets of T shirts (no tank tops/ shirts with prints)
3 sets of shorts (no FBT, shorts cannot be too short)
1 set of track pants
1 sweater (optional)
3 pairs of socks
Undergarments – sufficient for 3 days
Poncho/ raincoat/ umbrella (compulsory)
Slippers/ sandals (for use in the shower only)
Sleeping bag
Pillow (optional)
Towel
Toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, etc)
Notebook and pen
1.5L water bottle
Cap/ hat (optional)
Insect repellent
Clothes hanger/ clothes peg
Personal medication
Torch (to be fitted with batteries)
Plastic bags – for storing soiled clothing
Small bag
Rags/ unwanted cloth
Blindfold/ cloth that can act as blindfold (compulsory)
Present for Manito (cannot exceed $3 each)
Plate, fork and spoon (no disposable utensils)
Full Guides uniform

DO NOT BRING SNACKS AND VALUABLE ITEMS. WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF BELONGINGS. UNAUTHORISED MATERIALS WILL BE CONFISCATED.

The course was super fun!

I love it! :)
First, the instructors told us about the equipments and more about rock climbing. Then, the most long thing: ROCK CLIMBING! And the course ended with bouldering.
The instructors were super nice, hee. :D
Hopefully this would interest you more to go for the next session! :)

DO wear PROPER attire or Eunice koh and Koh Huiting will make you all do 1000000000 Buddha claps!

So remember to:

Polish your boots - Use kiwi, if you don't know how to ASK
Polish your enrolment badge - Use autosol or brusol or colgate
Iron your scarf - Fold it back once then front twice and tie the small square
Season your hat - Put it under the mattress / Iron it / Put it under boots
Tie PLAITS not bun or pony tails
Bring clips to pin up the fringe
BLACK rubber bands
Socks THREE fingers above ankle

HOW TO TIE A SCARF

Step 1: Fold scarf a third of the way. Continue to fold/roll long edge over.

Step 2: Place long edge around neck and tie reef knot (left tail over right, right tail over left)

Step 3: Adjust scarf so that it is neat and tidy on both the front and back

we do not wish to see untidy scarves anymore! please spare us!

and the knot must be just above the first button of the blouse, thank you very much.

ok, i shall stop wif those craps larhs. i am one them at the bottom, so please guess. in fact. its kinda obvious . in this post, i did not put any unglam photos of sufern for 1 reason. coz i am so indebt to her. she slept wif me for a total of 4 years. regardless of camps n obs. she suffered for 4 pathetic years. so i shall be super duper kind and not post any even though i have plenty of it. ;D

N june ! wads if ur pointy little finger ? even if you noe who am i you should not point. tats bad ;D

Furthermore, if ur r going 2 say y the following photos are mainly filled wif tat irritating n dumb youxin, blame urselves ! coz ur r always doing wad tat dumb youxin is doing (below).

n when i try to take any, ur will show me tat evil face. as if ur r gonna bash me up :(
after tat, try to act innocent. (but nxt time, dun do it wif the mouth so wide open. coz ur can even see tat daphne thinks tat it is dumb)

hmmm, if ur r trying 2 think of other excuses. 4get it. coz i already passed out. no more photos taking ;D

Also guides, as girls we shld take note of the way we sit n behave. sit wif ur legs CLOSED ! even yiting is laughing !

First,those who partcipated in the competition deserve a round of appluase for the hardwork put in fot the past trainings.=) But i wont say you girls did a good job.I know and you know very well that we can do much better than that.I seen you do very well before.I hope that all of you learn from your mistakes pointed out.Although we didnt win,but i think you girls are still quite okay.

Alicia,very very good job done! i am very proud of you. your confidence in yourself and your effort during the teaching was well done. You are already a winner in all of our hearts. :D

All guides, please be prepared to stay back late frequently even on non-cca days. as you all know we have a campfire and parade coming out, so we will be extremely busy.Be prepared. I dont want to hear any guides complaining. Especially those involve in GOH of parade,there will be more trainings for you girls.

NDP guides, all the best for your final selection tmr.Rmb to manage your time well with your school work too! any problems you can always approach us.

VENUE: meet at guides room,then fall in at viod deck
ATTIRE: FULL GUIDES UNIFORM!
REMINDER: 14 people involve in footdrill competition are to bring boots.

Please be in perfect attire esp on friday.Be prepared to stay back later than usual on friday.

yea,so people!!NDP IS FUN OKAY!!!! must do your best for the training.do it for yourself,for CCKS 1ST COY!,for the nation, and also for ME)RANI)! ;D

NDP is going to be tough and tiring but i am very very sure that you girls will enjoy a lot more than i did 2 years back.Your footdrill will improve a lot, you will become much more disciplined,you will make lots of great friends in ndp,and i think most importantly, you girls will get to know and feel the true girl guide spirit.

ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR TRAININGS! AND HOPEFULLY ALL OF YOU CAN MAKE IT THROUGH THE SELECTION! remember, NDP is suppose to be a fun thing too,thats why the SIRs who are training you girls told you to have fun.It's true,have lots of fun. :)

some reminders for ndp ppl.make sure that your attire is perfect.be punctual for all trainings and rmb your hat.and *VERY IMPORTANT: DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!

ATTENDANCE IS COMPLUSORY!
These 3 guides session is counted as CCA days.Anyone absent will have to produce a MC or letter with valid reason.Those going overseas please do produce a letter also. Those who have school lessons on any of these dates please inform your PL/PS.Go for your lesson,but you still have to report back to guides if your lesson ends early or starts at a later time.

Be prepared to stay back later than 3pm as campfire rehearsals will usually drag.

And thanks to those guides that helped out on sports day.Good job although the duty is quite boring from what i heard. But still,thank you for your time! :D

next thing,in order to make use of the blog,some reminders.

-sec3s and 4s who are currently working on your NYAA bronze,please bring your NYAA booklet on wednesday, 18.02.09 for updates.

-guides who are doing your total defence bronze or silver,please remember that your presentation date is on friday,20.02.09 if i am not wrong.

-those who have sold all your $25 of the carnival tickets,please tell your leaders.and also do get somemore tickets to sell.rmb all this contributes to our PNA.

as you guides know that we didnt manage to get our bronze award,so i hope that all of you can really help and contribute so that we can get our PNA bronze award or even silver next year. thanks! :D

as for wednesday and friday,it's normal cca day.so even those not involve in parade are expected to come for cca.wednesday will be the orientation for sec1s.

hi girls! please take note that there will be cca for two days.we will be focusing on orientation for the two days.orientation will be on 10 January 09 and there are many things to prepare.

date/day: 26/12(Friday) & 29/12(Monday)
time: 9am-1pm(friday) time for monday tbc.
venue:meet at void deck
attire:PE attire
things to bring:yourself! and some decorative materials if you have

ATTENDANCE IS COMPULSORY!!!

those involve in the cookie sales at far east plaza,sad to say,its cancelled.yup,so pls take note.you should know who you are.

next,those who went to the UG overseas trip,you will need to write a reflection on the orphanage that we visited on the first day. the reflection has to be 3/4 A4 paper without leaving any lines. it will be used for your NYAA under service. reflect on what you have done,what can be improve,and you have learn etc...
